Full Professor in Software Systems Programming and Development

The University of St. Gallen is undertaking a major initiative to strengthen digital sciences across its core disciplines of management, economics, law, and international affairs. In pursuit of this goal, the university has established a new Department of Computer Science within the School of Management and seeks applicants for a chaired professorship in the field of Software Systems Programming and Development.
We seek an outstanding academic who has demonstrated thought leadership in the field, adapted to applications relevant to the core disciplines of our university: algorithm design, programming and software development.
The successful candidate will have a track record of internationally recognized high-quality research and teaching experience in the field of Software Systems Programming and Development.Openness to interdisciplinary collaboration with one of the core disciplines of the University of St. Gallen would be expected.
Upon successful integration of digital sciences into the larger curriculum of the university, the new department is planned to serve as the basis for an independent school within the university.
We seek candidates per February 1st 2019 or by mutual agreement. The University of St. Gallen is committed to increasing the number of international scholars among its faculty. In pursuit of increased diversity and gender equality, we especially welcome applications from women.
