The Law School of the University of St. Gallen – School of Management, Economics, Law, Social Sciences, International Affairs and Computer Science – is seeking candidates for a
Full Professorship in International Commercial Law,
Capital Markets Law, Financing or Finance Law
(«Lemann Chair»)
to take up employment per February 1, 2023, or as agreed upon. The employment level is 75%, and the teaching duties amount to six hours per week.
To be considered for this position, applicants should have an excellent track record in research and teaching in one or several of the mentioned areas of law. Your research stands out due to its interdisciplinarity, its use of methods such as Law & Economics or Law & Management, and its international recognition. Required are an excellent doctoral dissertation and further outstanding publications. We welcome practical experience and a record of significant acquisitions of third-party funding. You are expected to teach courses on all levels of legal education (Bachelor, Master and doctoral programme). We welcome a contribution to our continuing education programmes. Classes are in German or English; if applicable, you are expected to learn German within the first two years of your employment.
