The Faculty of Natural Sciences invites applications for the position of a
Full Professor (W3)
of Molecular Genetics
at the Institute of Biology to be filled in the summer semester 2022.
The applicant should be willing to cooperate on interdisciplinary projects and have conducted internationally renowned research in a current field of molecular genetics, for example regulating complex gene networks in reaction to environmental stimuli, growth signals, cell stress, or noxious agents. The candidate is expected to be willing to participate in interdisciplinary cooperation, especially in the areas of animal sciences, health sciences, and nutritional sciences. In teaching, the professorship represents general and molecular genetics in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Biology and in the semi-elective and elective areas of other related degree programs.
The position offers attractive conditions for first-time full professor appointees. Prerequisites for applicants are habilitation or an equivalent research and teaching record which may have been established during a Junior or Assistant Professorship.
