Faculty of Georesources and Materials
We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research
in the area of Subsurface Spatial Planning and Repository Management
. The starting date is as soon as possible.
Recognized expertise in the following areas is particularly
- repository concepts for different host rock formations
- long-term safety and demonstration concept
- release behavior, mass transport and migration
- regulatory requirements of geological waste disposal
- subsurface spatial and infrastructure planning
- monitoring of repositories and geological systems
A Ph.D. degree is required; additionally, Habilitation (postdoctoral
lecturing qualification), an exemplary record of research
achievement as an assistant / an associate / a junior
professor or university researcher and/or an outstanding career
outside academia are highly desirable. Ability in and commitment
to teaching are essential. The application should include
supporting documents regarding success in teaching. German
is not necessary to begin but will be expected as a teaching language
within the first 5 years.
The faculty is looking for engineers or geoscientists from the
fields of mining or disposal with proven, well-founded knowledge
and experience in the fields of radioactive waste management
and final disposal.
