available immediately. The holder of this position will have a regular employment contract with no time limit.

The successful candidate is expected to further develop therapy research in the department and at the Tübingen Center for Mental Health and to establish innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for patients suffering from a mental disorder. The scientific focus should be on the translational development and implementation of mechanism-oriented innovative intervention approaches for mental disorders and their integration with established psychotherapeutic procedures.

The person to be appointed should have outstanding expertise in the methodological spectrum of experimental psychopathology research (e.g. application of psycho-physiological procedures) and be able to demonstrate translational competence in the area of innovative interventions, in particular including neurobiological and digital therapy approaches. The successful candidate is expected to cover translation from mechanism to intervention, to have relevant experience in empirical psychotherapy research and in conducting clinical trials. The new professor is expected to support the research and care focus of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in the treatment of eating disorders and weight disorders.

The professorship will be closely linked to the activities of the future German Center for Mental Health (DZP). Close cooperation with other scientific working groups at the DZP as well as at neighboring DZGs at the Tübingen location, with the Competence Center for Eating Disorders Tübingen (KOMET), as well as with working groups in the field of neurosciences and the other core research areas of the Faculty of Medicine are expected. In addition, special commitment is expected within existing and planned research networks both within the University and with non-university partners (including the Tübingen Max Planck Institutes and the Leibniz Institute for Knowledge Media).

In the field of teaching, involvement and comprehensive experience evaluated as outstanding are expected, as well as active design of lectures and other teaching formats, particularly in view of innovative curricula in the degree programs taught at the Tübingen Faculty of Medicine. The successful candidate will be involved in teaching the subject Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in the degree program in Human Medicine, in the newly founded Master's program in Population-based Medicine as well as in teaching in other University Master's programs, and will participate in the Graduate Training Center for Neuroscience. The position has a teaching load of 9 hours per week (during lecture periods).

Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching aptitude.

The University of Tübingen is particularly interested in increasing the number of women in research and teaching and therefore strongly encourages women to apply. In line with its internationalization agenda, the university welcomes applications from researchers outside Germany.

Applications from equally qualified candidates with disabilities will be given preference.
