Full Professor (W2) on Scalable Trustworthy AI

The position is due to commence as soon as possible. The professorship is available for a limited period of 5 years in accordance with § 50 Absatz 2 Satz 1 Nr. 5 LHG for the promotion of particularly qualified young academics. The position will be filled on a salaried basis. The professorship is located within the Artificial Intelligence research focus at the Tübingen AI Center dedicated to research on scalable trustworthy machine learning methods. The future incumbent should have a proven track-record in the field of robust learning and bring a convincing concept for testing scalable trustworthy machine learning in the context of large-scale foundational models in domains like vision and language such as GPT3 or HyperCLOVA. The successful candidate is expected to already have the necessary collaborations with industry to pursue this type of research such that the fastest possible establishment of this research direction at the Tübingen AI Center can be ensured. Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness.
