The professorship belongs to the TUM Department Mechanical Engineering.
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. The expected research profile lies within the whole spectrum of theoretical, numerical and experimental thermodynamics. The teaching load includes courses in the university’s bachelor and master programs.
We are looking for a candidate with high international reputation who has demonstrated an outstanding academic record and an internationally recognized research program. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification as well as pedagogical aptitude, including the ability to teach in English, are also prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad, also in the context of industry, is expected.
