Inclusion and Inclusive Education
The successful applicant is expected to research and teach the transformations
of the school system that are related to the different as
well as interdependent challenges, conditions, and contexts of
inclusion. The excellent research record (proven by publications and
empirical research projects) will demonstrate expertise in two of the
following expected thematic areas:
- Research on school development and organization: The successful
applicant is expected to analyse new forms of using resources
from special education in inclusive schools as well as expanding
their internal and external cooperation structures.
- Classroom research and teaching research: The successful applicant
is expected to perform inclusion-related analyses and development
regarding teaching practices that are sensible towards the
heterogeneity of students. It is expected that the dimension of
school and their specific teaching methodologies receive particular
attention.
- Research on teaching profession and teacher education: The
successful candidate is expected to contribute to the research of
which measures of professionalization are required for inclusive
schools, for classroom settings as well as the corresponding
concepts of teacher education.
The successful candidate will perform empirical educational research
and studies in the aforementioned areas. Teaching will focus on the
Frankfurt teacher education programs and also include the university's
BA/MA programs of Education. The successful applicant is expected
to develop inclusion-related courses for teacher education as well
as advance the networks between the different teacher training
related institutions and disciplines of the university.
Because the professorship is involved in teacher training, candidates
are required to have specific experience in this area and should be
willing to participate in interdisciplinary initiatives in the field of
empirical educational research.
The designated salary for the position is based on the German
University Pay Scale or equivalent. Goethe-University is committed
