The Carl Thiem Klinikum (CTK) Cottbus is a municipal hospital and academic teaching hospital of the Charité University Hospital Berlin with highest medical standards. The CTK provides medical main care in 21 clinical centers, two institutes and numerous medical centers covering almost all clinical fields. Next Generation Sequencing
for the development and expansion of next generation sequencing (NGS)-based tumor diagnostics at the Institute for Pathology. The molecular diagnostic of the department of pathology is carried out in close collaboration with the departments laboratory medicine and microbiology at the center of special pathology and hygiene.
Job description
- Organisation, development and expansion of a fast and efficient molecular NGS cancer diagnostic lab.
- Software based evaluation of NGS data.
- Close cooperation with clinical oncologists.
- Participation in molecular consultation according to literature and study based therapy options.
- Establishment of quality management for standartisation, accreditation and certification of NGS molecular diagnostics.
Qualification
- Master, diploma in (molecular) biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or related fields relevant PhD is a strong plus.
- Knowledge, working and research experience in NGS protocols and data analysis.
- Interest in scientific work.
- Team orientation with good communication skills. Experience with working in interdisciplinary teams in biomedicine.
