Zeppelin University (ZU) in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance is a private, staterecognized
endowed university offering bachelor, master and PhD programs in
economics, cultural studies, and political science. It is committed to interdisciplinarity,
internationality, and individuality in research and teaching.
As of January 1, 2022, or later, ZU is offering a limited part-time position (Post-doc or
PhD position, 60 or 65%).
Academic Fellow (m/f/d) at WÜRTH Chair of Cultural Production
The position is limited to a period of three years with an optional extension following
positive evaluation results and in correspondence with the university’s presidential
Independent research and publishing in the context of the PhD or Post-doc
Teaching 3 weekly units (4 for Post-docs) at Zeppelin University in areas related to
arts management and cultural policy
Planning and realization of two issues per year of the peer-review Journal of Cultural
Management and Cultural Policy (jcmcp.org), including communication with the coeditors-
in-chief and guest editors, authors, and reviewers
Editing and publishing newsletters, updating the journal website, planning and
realization of two issue-launch events per year
Supporting the activities of the WÜRTH Chair of Cultural Production
Self-administrative activities at the university
Supervising undergraduate and graduate assistants
Interest in academic work, strong sense of teamwork
Very good knowledge about arts management and cultural policy themes and
Outstanding Master’s degree or PhD (summa or magna cum laude) in an area
related to the post
Professional communication in German and English, fluent both written and oral
Editing and copy editing in German and English
