Questions for the employer
How does the employment policy of your institution differ from that of others?
Jena University Hospital is the largest clinic in the Free State of Thuringia and one of the most modern clinics in Germany. We offer a top compensation according to collective agreements with a university allowance and also a company pension scheme. With us, our employees can develop like nowhere else. Individual career planning as well as free training and further education opportunities are a matter of course for us. We train every new employee as individually and as specifically as possible. With the discharge collective agreement that came into force in April 2020, it is important for us to relieve our employees, primarily in nursing.
What can only be learned in your institution?
Every employee at Jena University Hospital has the opportunity to plan their own career. Around 115 different, internal training courses with experienced internal and external speakers are currently offered every year: They also include free advanced training and further education, specialist training, opportunities for doctoral studies and habilitation. Management development is also one of our development programs for employees.
Which qualities are you looking for in a person wanting to join your institute?
The first priority for us is the professional suitability with regard to the position to be filled. A healthy mix of flexibility, reliability, a sense of responsibility as well as the willingness to cooperate with different professional groups and people are important building blocks of a successful cooperation.
What’s the most valuable advice you can give for interviewees at your institution?
Please always submit your application documents completely (cover letter, curriculum vitae, certificates, etc.). The examination by the relevant specialist can take a few days. You are welcome to inform yourself on our website before the interview. Use the opportunity to ask us questions during the interview. Just be yourself and tell us who you are, what you can do and why you would like to be part of our team. An interview is not an exam!
