Tenure-Track position in Information Security

Job description
You should be an excellent scientist, with independent ideas, capable of leading a research group. You should establish a high-profile own line of research with good international exposure and reputation after a term of maximally five years. Guidance of Master students, PhD students and Postdocs is highly relevant in this respect, together with the acquisition of external funds of research. The tenure-track scientist is expected to contribute to courses for bachelor and master students in the education programme of the Research Group of Distributed and Embedded Security.

Requirements
You should have a PhD in a scientific field relevant to Information Security. As a result you have (1) international PostDoc experience, (2) affinity with data security, network security, cyber-crime prevention, or risk assessment, (3) the ability to convert fundamental understanding into practical applications, (4) a proven publication- and presentation track record, (5) and good communication skills. Experience in acquiring grants and experience with various types of teaching is of additional advantage. Questions regarding the academic content of the position you can direct to prof.dr. Conditions of employment
We offer you a tenure-track position starting at the level appropriate to your qualifications (assistant or associate professor). A tenure-track contract (in accordance with Clause 6.5a of the Collective Labour Agreement - Dutch Universities) enables you to direct your own career based on fixed performance agreements, where promotion to full professor is possible based on proven performance. A definitive assessment for full professor and group leader will take place no later than five years after commencement of employment after which, following a positive review, employment for an indefinite period will be granted.
