The Comprehensive Cancer Center Mainfranken of the University of Würzburg invites applications for a

Research Group Leader (f/m)

We invite applications both for a junior group position (following a postdoctoral research) and at the level of an associate (W2) professorship. The group will initially be fully funded for a period of three years, a renewal will be possible.We expect the successful candidate to lead an independent and competitive research program in a current field of basic and/or translational cancer research. We are particularly interested in research areas complementing the existing focus on signal transduction, such as, for example, work focusing tumor cell metabolism, protein turnover and/or tumor cell heterogeneity.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) Mainfranken is supported by a center grant from the Deutsche Krebshilfe. Further support comes from several research networks of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. State-of-the-art animal facilities as well as advanced genomic, imaging and proteomic technologies are available.
