For our Technology & Innovation department in Meitingen/Germany we recruit a
Project Manager (m/f)
for the area "Cathodes for the Aluminium Industry"
Your Tasks:
- Product development projects in close cooperation with Technical Service Cathodes, Production and customers from the aluminium industry
- Get acquainted with aluminium electrolysis technology and corresponding requirements to cathode materials through chemical, electrical, thermal and mechanical processes in application
- Planning, execution and coordination of tests in Production and Pilot Plants
- Responsibility for analysis, documentation, and assessment of trial results, and the presentation to internal and external customers
- Cooperation with universities and R&D institutes within the framework of projects or studies
Our Requirements:
- Chemistry (Diploma), preferably in Inorganic or Technical Chemistry, Engineering (Diploma) in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science or process technology, preferably with PhD/doctor degree
- Ideally you already have professional experience in metals production by molten salt electrolysis, and in production and application of carbon and graphite materials
- Targeted customer and project focus is essential for you, paired with an autonomous work style and convincing communication skills. Practical experience in Six Sigma methodology is preferred
- Good working practice with standard office software (MS Office, etc.)
- Readiness for business travel, both domestic and international, is required
