The Faculty of Business and Industrial Engineering (B+F) at the University of Technology, Business and Media Offenburg is offering the following position starting September 1st in 2012:

Professur (W 3)

für "Computer Aided Engineering und Rapid Prototyping"

You will be expected to represent the above mentioned fields in education and research in sufficient form. You have a research focus and also sound scientific knowledge in the work with Rapid Technologies (especially 3D-Printing, 3D-Scanning) and you also convince us with experience in recognized research institutions.

The professorship includes the above-mentioned subject areas in teaching and applied research. The successful candidate will teach the following subjects in Bachelor and Master Degree programs: computer-aided product development (in particular CATIA V5), Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling, Machine Components. In addition you are experienced in the fields of product development and FEM-simulation, which is also evident in the form of papers at international conferences. Experience as a laboratory manager is desirable.
