At the University of Technology, Economy and Media Offenburg, the Faculty of Media and Information Resources (M+I) is advertising the following position for the 1st of September in 2012:

Professorship (W 3)

for "computer science, in particular security in information systems"

Besides the basics of computer science in the teaching we expect in-depth knowledge in the areas of network security, web security and security trends. Scientific research in the field of IT security services belongs to the task.

We are looking for a personality with expertise in research activities and with relevant experience in fund raising. Furthermore we expect you to teach specialist courses in neighboring areas, to take on tasks in the self-administration of the university and to be able to teach in English. A general teaching ability, a special aptitude for academic work (usually PhD) and a minimum of 5 years professional experience after the graduation (including at least three years outside the higher education sector) are required as well.
