At the University of Technology, Economy and Media Offenburg, the Faculty of Media and Information Resources (M+I) is advertising the following position for the 1st of September in 2012:

Professorship (W 2)

for "Business Informatics, especially IT security management"

The professorship includes the subject area of teaching, applied research and development as well as the support of the associated laboratories and participation in basic education. We expect in-depth knowledge in areas such as process and risk management, competitive intelligence and crisis management. Furthermore, we require practical experience in information security management. We also expect you to teach specialist courses in neighboring areas, to take on tasks in the self-administration of the university and to be able to teach in English.

We are looking for a personality who has completed studies with above-average performance, who can come up with sound knowledge in the above mentioned fields and who shows good didactic skills. We require the general teaching ability, a special aptitude for academic work (usually PhD) and a minimum of 5 years full-time practice after the graduation, including at least three years outside the higher education sector.
