The Faculty for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (E+I) at the University of Technology, Business and Media Offenburg is now offering the following position:
Professorship (W3)
for "Electrical Power Engineering, especially in the field of renewable energy systems and their network integration"
The Faculty increases the expansion of courses in electrical power engineering. Your future job will be to competently represent the field of renewable energy systems, particularly their electrical components and network integration, in education and research. We expect you to have a research focus in the field of renewable energy systems as well as adequate experience in recognized research institutions. You continue your research in this or an adjacent area and you contribute it to the bachelor's and master's programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. In particular, you will participate in developing the new bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering / Physics, which is starting in winter 2012/2013.
The professorship includes the subject area of teaching, applied research and training as well as supporting the associated laboratories and participation in basic education. The willingness to take on specialist courses in neighboring areas is expected, just as engaging in the self-management tasks of the university and the capacity for teaching in English.
