The Medical Faculty of Ulm University invites in the Hospital for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (Head of the Institute: Professor Dr. Jörg M. Fegert) applications for the position of a
Professor (W3) (without Leadership) of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
The applicant represents the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy in research, teaching, and medical care. The applicant is expected to be experienced in the fields of developmental psychopathology and behavioral disorders in children, interventional and preventional methods regarding psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents.
Teaching activities include lectures and courses in adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy in general, with a specific focus on developmental psychopathology, with respect to developmental neuropsychological aspects, that shall be included in additional seminars and doctoral programs.
The scientific focus of the applicant should be within the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, specifically on health services research (epidemiology, neuropsychology), intervention research and /or biological child and adolescent psychiatry.
The successful candidate is expected to strengthen existing research areas of the hospital, especially in network formation between disciplines. In addition, the position supports the development of a research focus on neuro-sciences and supports the growth of the Centre Medicine and Society and the Transregional Center Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition, supporting activity in psychosocial health services research is expected.
Requirements by state law (§ 47 LHG) include the relevant university and doctoral degrees, an outstanding record of research and teaching achievements equivalent to a German Habilitation.
