We are currently recruiting for the following position:
Professor
of Financial and Management Accounting (Full-time, tenured).

The successful candidate will have at least five years’ proven international work experience in the relevant area as well as research leadership skills proven with a PhD/doctoral degree (or equivalent). The successful candidate is expected to have a strong international profile, including the ability to teach in English. In addition to relevant academic and professional qualifications, applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Application Requirements:
- University degree and PhD/doctoral degree in Accounting or Management
- Teaching experience and fluency in English would be an advantage
- A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience, with at least 3 years outside of academia, preferably with management experience as well as extensive experience in international accounting standards and cost accounting
- Willingness to learn German within 3 years if required
- Strong willingness to support administrative functions (for instance leading an international study program)
The appointment will normally be for an initial probationary period of three years. Once the necessary aptitude has been demonstrated and the civil service requirements have been fulfilled, the candidate will be granted (life-time) civil servant status (Beamter) and a tenured position. The salary will be based on the rate set at state level (Baden-Württemberg) and the system of allowances in operation at Reutlingen University.
