PostDoc position in Information Security

The challenge
Position description: The Research Group of Distributed and Embedded Security of the University of Twente is seeking a talented candidate with research interests in information security for a PostDoc position.
Job description: The candidate is expected to contribute to the information security research agenda of the DIES group and to extend our work with new ideas in the areas of data security, network security, and cybercrime prevention.

Our offer
We offer a full-time position in a dynamic and international environment. The duration of the contract is three years. The gross salary will range between € 2,861.00 to € 3,755.00 per month. Additionally, the University of Twente provides excellent facilities for professional and personal development. In addition, we offer a holiday allowance (amounts to 8%) and an end-of-year bonus (amounts to 8.3%) and a number of additional benefits. The labor agreements are in accordance with the CAO-NU for Dutch universities.

You get the chance to work in an internationally renowned team of security researchers and to extend your network with national and international contacts. In addition to research, you can get involved in the group’s teaching activities to acquire teaching experience and qualification.

Your profile
An ideal candidate for this position

  • holds a recent PhD in computer science or a closely related discipline;
  • has a proven record of research, documented by excellent publications in information security;
  • has participated in national and/or international research projects and in grant acquisition;
  • has excellent communication skills, mastering both oral and written English fluently;
  • has experience with various types of teaching including supervising master students;
