Post-Doc / Group Leader

in Nanobiotechnology

We are seeking a self-motivated scientist interested in developing techniques for the receptor assembly triggered by light. The project is part of a collaborative ERANEURO NET program (France/Germany). The main objective of this project is to develop new chemical and optical tools to study and modulate receptor trafficking in synaptic transmission in different models of neurodegenerative diseases. The successful candidate should have received her/his PhD less than 5 years ago. She/he is expected to have good communication skills as well as previous experience in cell biology, biophysics or biochemistry. The position –subject to corresponding funding– will be available on February 1st, 2010 for a period of three years and the salary according to the German standards for the public service (BAT IIa). The duration of the contract is limited by the regulations of the German “Wissenschaftszeit-vertragsgesetz i. V.m. dem Hessischen Hochschulgesetz”.
