The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Goethe-University Frankfurt, invites applications to fill the following position starting from 1st July 2012:
Junior Professorship (W1) in Risk Management and Insurance
(funded by the German Insurance Association (GDV) and the State of Hesse). The position is limited to six years subject to a mid-term review. The Junior Professor will be associated with the Department of Finance and the International Center for Insurance Regulation (ICIR).
Applicants should have demonstrated their scientific potential in the area of insurance and risk management - a preferred focus is insurance regulation - with an outstanding dissertation or through publications in leading international journals. Applicants must be willing and able to teach in our Bachelor, Master and PhD programs. In the area of insurance regulation, the ICIR is an interdisciplinary platform for science, regulatory authorities and the insurance industry. Professional experience in the insurance area and interdisciplinary, e.g. actuarial, qualifications are therefore of advantage, but not a prerequisite. German language skills are beneficial, but not mandatory.
The designated salary for the position is based on “W1” on the German university scale.
