Junior-Professor (W1) for Law and Economics

The Position should be filled by April 2010 or later. The Junior Professor will carry out research and will teach both in the Faculties of Law and Economics. Applicants should have demonstrated their credentials in the area of law or economics by an outstanding dissertation and the willingness to engage in the complementary field through research and teaching activities. A research concentration in corporate law, capital market law and/or economic law (for applicants with law background) and theory of competition, competition policy, finance and banking (for applicants with economic background) is preferred.


The recently established Ph.D. Program/Graduiertenkolleg "Law and Economics of Money and Finance" will be part of the teaching activities. The Faculties of Law and Economics are equally engaged in this program. The applicant should therefore be able to give English lectures. Based an the interdisciplinary aspect of the program, cooperation and coordination with the complementary field will be indispensable. The designated salary for the position is based an "W 1" an the German university scale or equivalent.
