The Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute for the Analysis of Society and Policy at Goethe University Frankfurt/Main, Germany, invites applications for the following position:

Full Professorship (W3) in Sociology with the Main Focus on Sociology of Work and Labour

The future holder of the position is expected to show outstanding theoretical as well as empirical expertise in the field of the sociology of work and labour. The main focus of this professorship are interdependent changes of society and work, taking the international as well as the historical perspective into account. To do research on gender issues in this field is desirable. He/She will participate in the research group "Society and Economy" and should cooperate with extra-university partners in the field of work and labour.

The person chosen for this position is expected to cooperate closely in the institute's and the faculty's research projects, to attract outside research funding and to teach in the different study programmes of the faculty. The candidate should be able to hold all courses either in English or in German.

The successful candidate will also be involved in teacher-training. Experience in teaching at school and novel ideas regarding this topic would be welcome.

The designated salary for the position is based on "W3" on the German university scale or equivalent. Goethe University is an equal opportunity employer.
