Full Professorship (W3) in Practical Theology
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to all degree programs (Diplom/Magister Evangelische Theologie, Kirchliches Examen Evangelische Theologie, Lehramt Evangelische Religion, BA/MA Religionswissenschaft, MA Religionsphilosophie) offered by the faculty. He/She exhibits an excellent international research profile. Appointees are expected to possess an outstanding record of publications in the field of Practical Theology. Preferably, the candidate’s approach to Practical Theology will include an engagement with cultural theory and will allow for actively participating in as well as broadening the scope of the faculty´s interdisciplinary research project on „Diversität - Differenz - Dialogizität. Konstellationen von Positionalität und Pluralität in Judentum, Christentum und Islam.“
The Faculty of Protestant Theology offers its courses and programs in association with the Institute of Protestant Theology at Justus-Liebig University, Gießen.
Since the holder of the position will also be involved in teachertraining experience in teaching in schools and novel ideas regarding this topic would be welcome.
The designated salary for the position is based on “W3” on the German university scale or equivalent.
