The Faculty of Psychology and Sports Sciences at the Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany, invites applications to fill the following position, starting in April 2010:

Full Professorship (W2) in Educational Psychology with a focus on Adult Education/Adult Learning

The successful candidate will represent Educational Psychology in research and teaching. Applicants should have a strong research record in the fields of adult learning and adult education including the use of new media in teaching, as demonstrated through appropriate publications and funding. Applicants are expected to contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives in Empirical Educational Research, to cooperate with other research projects in the department, and to lead the centre for university teaching and learning (Arbeitsstelle für Hochschuldidaktik).

Teaching responsibilities include classes in the teacher training programme (Lehramt) as well as in the psychology programmes (Diplom, Bachelor, Master). Required qualifications are a graduate degree in psychology, PhD and Habilitation (or equivalent post-doctoral experience), didactic competence and leadership experience. Applicants should be team players with experience of teaching in teacher training programmes. Teaching experience in further educational training are desired.

The designated salary for the position is based on "W2" on the German university scale or equivalent. Goethe University is an equal opportunity employer.
