The Faculty of Business at Hof University of Applied Sciences – Fachhochschule Hof invites applications for the following position:

It is the responsibility of this professorship to participate in all areas of teaching offered by the faculty.

The successful candidate will hold an economics degree in the relevant area. Additionally the candidate will have proven experience in leading an international company. The course content is designed to enable the students of the Faculty of Business to work in multinational teams and to lead them. Setting up a strategy for a multinational company is also a designated goal of the course. Cultural awareness of the students with respect to leadership will be the central focus of the courses.

The professorship is geared to the Indian subcontinent. Prerequisites are proven experience in the economy and culture of India. Practical experience in Leadership ought to be gained at least partly in India. Lectures are expected to be held in German and in English.

The Faculty of Business intends to include the area of Service Management in the curriculum. In cooperation with the study programme Media Design the Faculty intends to develop an interdisciplinary concept. Experience in this area would be an advantage.

Qualification Requirements:
- University degree in studies other than those of a University of Applied Sciences or degree from a University of Applied Sciences which has formally been recognized as equal to a regular university degree through official channels. Research competency must be supported through a doctoral dissertation or other proof (expert opinion regarding achievements of equal value). Alternatively, graduation from a University of Applied Sciences and a successful doctoral dissertation may be sufficient.
- Pedagogical aptitude to be shown during a guest lecture.
- Special achievements in the application and development of research and methods during at least five years of professional experience following graduation. At least three years of this experience must have been gained outside the university sphere.

In order to attain permanent civil servant status, the applicant must be under the age of 52. The University of Hof is striving to increase the proportion of women of its academic staff.
