The Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Stuttgart, Germany, invites applications for the tenured position of

The Faculty seeks a person who represents the field of Software Engineering in research and teaching on an encompassing level, who is interested in interdisciplinary efforts, and who is prominently known for his achievements in some of the following areas of specialization:

•    design and production techniques for large complex software systems 

•    design, description and evaluation of software architectures 

•    modeling and metrics of software systems 

•    quality prediction, quality assurance and validation of software

•    adaptive software product families

In research, the candidate is expected to participate in interdisciplinary projects of the Faculty. The Faculty has a broad involvement in the DFG Cluster of Excellence „Simulation Technology“, the DFG Collaborative Research Centre SFB-627, and the DFG Graduate School of Excellence „advanced Manufacturing Engineering“.

In teaching, the Chair has a leading role in the Software Technology programs of the Faculty. It participates in the other Computer Science programs, in an international M.Sc. program “InfoTech”, and it offers individual modules to other study programs of the university. In Software Technology a broad spectrum of themes needs to be covered.
