The young Hof University of Applied Sciences continues on its path of growth. In order to best meet the needs of our increasing student number, we offer the following professorship, pay-scale W2, in the faculty of informatics:

Aside from having a degree in the special field, the applicant must be able to teach this area of expertise in the bachelor and master programs of the faculty and do research. In addition, the applicant should be prepared to lecture on other informatics related topics. We expect involvement in the university administration. The position also requires active participation in the institute for information systems and the ability to lead a research team.

The University strives to further expand its international ties; therefore it is desirable that the lectures be conducted in English.

Qualification Requirements:

1. University degree in studies other than those of a University of Applied Sciences or degree from a University of Applied Sciences which has formally been recognized as equal to a regular university degree through official channels. Research competency must be supported through a doctoral dissertation or other proof (expert opinion regarding achievements of equal value). Alternatively, graduation from a University of Applied Sciences and a successful doctoral dissertation may be sufficient.
2. Pedagogical aptitude to be shown during a guest lecture.
3. Special achievements in the application and development of research and methods during at least five years of professional experience following graduation. At least three years of this experience must have been gained outside the university sphere.

In order to attain permanent civil servant status, the applicant must be under the age of 52.
