40 Postdocs (f/m) in the fields of

Energy, Earth and Environment, Health, Key Technologies, Structure of Matter, and Aeronautics, Space and Transport:

20 Helmholtz Young Investigators Groups Leaders (f/m)

(2-6 years after PhD)

Programme:
Funding will be granted to up to 20 independent Young Investigators Groups working in the above fields. The funding of a Young Investigators Group amounts to a minimum of 250,000 euros a year for a period of 5 to 6 years. In case of a positive evaluation, the candidate will then be given a permanent employment contract by a Helmholtz Centre (Tenure Track).

Requirements:

  • Scientific excellence
  • 2-6 years after PhD
  • Research experience abroad (for German applicants)

Applicants should approach the Helmholtz Centre directly, and hand in a pre-proposal by
30 March 2012.

20 Helmholtz-Postdocs (f/m)

(up to 1 year after PhD)

Programme:
Funding will be granted to up to 20 postdoctoral researchers working in the above fields. The funding of a researcher amounts to a maximum of 100,000 euros a year for a period of 2 to 3 years. German applicants are required to gain research experience abroad during the funding period.

Requirements:

  • Scientific excellence
  • Up to 1 year after PhD

Applicants should approach the Helmholtz Centre directly, and hand in a pre-proposal by
10 April 2012.
