The ZIBI Graduate School Berlin is an international doctoral program. Research projects aim to
elucidate genetic, biochemical and organismal basis of infections and immune reactions.
They are in the areas of
- Host-pathogen interaction
- Epigenetic changes in infection
- Structure-function analyses of pathogenicity components
- Differentiation of immune cells
- Host-pathogen co-evolution
- Antiviral and antimicrobial strategies and vaccine development
We offer outstanding training and support in an excellent scientific network. Faculty members are affiliated to well-known institutes such as the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, the German Rheumatism Research Center, the Robert Koch Institute, the Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research as well as to institutes of the Humboldt University to Berlin, the Free University of Berlin and the Charité - University Medicine Berlin.
Our mission is to develop students into creative, responsible and self-confident young researchers. Therefore, we are looking for highly motivated students of all nationalities who are strongly committed to research.
