University of the Arts Bremen

The University of the Arts Bremen is a creative meeting place of art and music, and offers its students and teachers a wide range of opportunities for exchange and collaboration in cross-subject courses, interdisciplinary projects and through its institutes

With approximately 900 students, 65 professors and over 200 lecturers, the University of the Arts Bremen is a combined university of music and art.

The Faculty of Music is located in the city centre of Bremen, in direct proximity to the city hall, Roland statue and Marktplatz. Its listed building has been extensively renovated in recent years and consistently redesigned to meet the requirements of a modern university of music.

In addition to comprehensive instrumental and vocal training, the University of the Arts offers an extremely broad range of training and qualification options in the form of the Academy of Early Music, the Contemporary Music Atelier, the jazz department, comprehensive organ and church music training and practically oriented instrumental/vocal and elementary music education.

A close network of co-operations, for example with the Theater Bremen, the Bremer Philharmoniker, the Bremen School of Music, numerous church congregations, schools and nurseries provides students with important practical experience in their future professional fields.
