534 students and 195 teachers work at the University of Music Freiburg; of the latter, 66 are professors, 34 are teachers with special remits and 95 are part-time lecturers (25% of teaching capacity).

3. Non-consecutive Master of Music (4 semesters)

following a recognised Bachelor of Music in another main subject. To be introduced from WS 2009 in the subjects: Film Music, Ensemble Vocals, Historically Informed Performance, Piano Chamber Music, Coaching, Music Theory, Rhythmics, Elementary Music Education and more

4. Advanced Studies (2/4 semesters)

Postgraduate degree course following a Master's degree for specific in-depth studies in the main subject (limited number of places)

5. Soloist Diploma (4 semesters)

Following a Master's degree as a postgraduate degree course in the main subject (limited number of places)

6. Church Music B and A

will be changed to a Bachelor/Master as from 01.10.2009

• for the summer semester: 1st December of the preceding year

Auditions

Admissions are determined based on artistic aptitude. The audition modalities for the individual subjects can be found on the University website.
