Length of courses, degrees awarded
Germany is currently reorganising its degree courses in order to award the internationally recognised Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The HMTH is planning to introduce these in the Winter Semester 2009/10 (except in Acting). The introduction of Bachelor's and Master's degree courses does not imply any changes with regard to course content or the typical individual tuition and teaching in small groups.
There are a various Master's degree courses designed to build on any of the courses listed above, so that anyone already holding a Bachelor's degree can pursue postgraduate studies for a Master's degree at the HMTH. In addition, there are some interesting new areas of study such as conducting children's and youth choirs or theory of music. Bachelor's courses last eight semesters, Master's courses four.
The latest information on the new courses will be posted here as from January 2010.
